the install when I launch, I've this error :

I just installed LilyPond 2.4.2 on Windows XP. When I try to process a .ly

Interpreting music... error: can't find `feta20.afm'
Music font has not been installed properly. Aborting

As was just pointed out in another thread on the mailing list,
the ecrm1000 files are actually included in the package
tetex-extra, not in tetex-base as I thought. Sorry for the
confusion.

In that case, what did you do since last time it worked?
If you have tried to install and then deinstall tetex-base, you could
try to reinstall tetex-tiny. I don't remember if there is a direct such
option in setup.exe, ot
ally
also when latex is called from within the lilypond command.

I can't understand why you run into so many problems. I have
installed cygwin several times and added the installation of
tetex-base afterwards without any such problems.
Let's try some debugging to clarify what's going on:

I had a similar problem when I upgraded to 2.4 lilypond under cygwin.
Turned out that there was an environment variable problem. I added this to

and lilypond was happy.

Well, after some serious searching of esoteric TeX manuals (boy are
those rough!) I started fiddling with the ls-R files and manually
rebuilding them. That seems to have fixed my problem. I am confused
because I have *never* had to do this with my previous 2 installs of
