Ryan,
My workaround behaves a little differently when there's a single bracket and
when there are two. When there's one, the examples that Mark posted have good
numbers for the half-brackets, you just might need to re-arrange them if you
want to put them on the right side of the note. You proba
Hello Abraham,
Thank you for the snippet!!! Believe me, this is EXACTLY what I needed! I'm
attempting to figure out how it works--the brackets, that is. How can I
adjust them for other chords? What do each of the values equate to? I'm a
bit rusty on my LilyPondings... Any help would be appreciated

Hi all,
Ideally, for this sort of thing there should be a special grob. This grob
could also encompass the very common piano notation that shows that a note
ought to be taken by the other hand (the bracket with one wing).
The attached file creates a basic grob, which I've called PianoBracket.

Ryan & Mark,
I am glad that there's a use for this! I posted it originally, but it
looks like you want it slightly different. Here's the code to do
exactly what you showed in the picture:
\version "2.18.2"
rhMark = \markup {
\concat {
\path #0.1 #'((moveto 0 -1.75)(rlineto 0.5 0)(rlinet

Below is a code to do this, I cannot remember who produced it and posted it
on the list.
