Hope this helps.

Charlotte,
many thanks for your help.
Where exactly did you put \override ?
M

referenced.
If you're doing a project which switches often between gregorian and
standard notation, you may find it easier to put the packed-spacing override
into a \global identifier which you can then just drop into all the standard
notation scores (like the ChoirStaff example in
Hi folks,
Please see the attached snippet.
Can anyone tell me why the first \mark ("I") isn't aligning over the key sig
as it should?
I've created this minimal example after trying it in every conceivable place
in the score and getting no joy.

Did this feature get implemented, or is Arvid's \include workaround still the
only option?
If it has been implemented, how do I do it in 2.11.28? I can't find anything
about it in the docs (looked under RestCollision along with its Engraver and
-interface).
Thanks,

going on, and how do I fix it?
I also have another problem, for which I've not provided code because I
don't have time to create a minimal example. In the longer choral sections,
all my bar-lines are different weights, varying between very heavy and
medium. I'd prefer

Have now made this change, and it has fixed the problem. I hadn't used this
before because I'd read elsewhere on this list that it plays havoc with the
spacing by leaving an empty space where the tim
Hi folks,
I'm not sure whether this is a bug, or my own error, or what.
I need to get rid of all the time signatures from my current project - it's

to sort out the line-breaking. This was working perfectly using /cadenza
Following on from what Bertalan said, if you put the coda in a separate score
block I think you can then use
\markup {
\translate #(cons X Y) { \score{yourscoreblock} }
}
}
to shift it around, where X is the horizontal movement (+ve for right, -ve
for left) and Y is the vertical movement (+ve for
Hi,
I'm having problems with getting instrument (or technically voice-part)
names to appear on a polyphonic score. Where in the syntax, or even in the
.ly file do I put the \set instrumentName?
I'm writing some simple 4-part choral stuff on 2 staves, using the template

blocks in each \score section (of which there
are well over 20). This can't be the best way, surely?
Snippet of my code follows.
Any suggestions anyone can make as to how to sort out the oddly thick note-
stems and final double-bar elements would also be gratefully received.
Thanks,
Charlo
