I just found out about 2.6 autopackaged and have installed it on my
Debian sid system. My first test worked great!
I found the various 2.6 executables.
1. I cannot find any menu entries (KDE) from the install.
2. I found the man and info pages. Is there an HTML (lilypond-doc)
manual availa

Using the autopackage version of lily 2.6 on Debian sarge, I was playing
around with font selection, and was getting almost nowhere. The
documentation on the website says the following:

Hi,
By default, in a score, lily left align instrument names. How is it possible
to right-align the names? Or to center-align them?
I would like to have, as staff group name, "Horns", and I, III and II, IV
right aligned as staff names.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I've installed 2.6 using the autopackage on Ubuntu Linux.
There's problems with lilypond-pdfpc-helper. This links to
lilypond-pdfpc-helper-2.6.0, which attempts to run
lilypond-pdfpc-helper-bin-2.6.0.
lilypond-pdfpc-helper-bin-2.6.0 doesn't exist, so no point-and-click...
looks an interesting re

No, this is a bug, but there is a workaround. Create a Macro with the
content:
runCommandInConsole(view, "LilyPond",
"\""+jEdit.getProperty("options.lilytool.lilypond-executable")+"\"

Assign a shortcut for it, and that would work.

I am sure there is an \override for this but how does one pad the space

Thanks, I am looking right now but see nothing yet.

There's a LaTeX recipe for getting that; it's documented with
fancyhdr (maybe also memoir). So lilypond-book users can do it.

I installed the "ec-fonts-mftraced_1.0.12-1_all.deb" provided on the
Lilypond site. No improvement.
Could it be an architecture-related problem?

As has already been pointed out, it's not a very good idea to
use version 2.5.11 for any serious typesetting. Actually, the
next stable version, 2.6.0, is supposed to be released during

on virtually any Linux version.
