Hello again,
I finally managed to get nice scores out of my shiny new
2.5.29 build. But I'm afraid that I'm still not really happy
with it. The new PS backend (i.e. getting away from TeX)
is of course a good idea, but its text output is not
usable for me at this moment (no kerning; many special

Why should it always be so difficult compiling lilypond?
I'm trying to compile 2.5.27, but it dies with this:
includable-lexer.cc: In member function `void
Includable_lexer::new_input(String, Sources*)':
includable-lexer.cc:67: error: `yy_buffer_stack' undeclared (first use
this
function)
This bug seems to be fixed now.

Andreas -
Starting by keying ly from a printed score in both bass and tenor clefs
(DUAL), it was converted to all bass (BASS), then to treble (TREB), and then
transposed to treble in an easier key (TRAN). This code demonstrates with
one line for each.

I just downloaded lilypond 2.5.29 for Windows, and double-clicking a file or
using "open with lilypond" no longer works like it did in 2.5.27. The only way
I seem to get any output is by dragging the file directly to the icon on the
desktop. I'm using Windows XP.

hey there, have only recently begun using lilypond for my
scores and I have some peculiar notions about notation.
most of the stuff I want to do I have been able to figure
out but one problem has thus far eluded a solution (outside
of marking up the hard copy with a pen that is):

Can you run lilypond itself? Make a small test file -- there's some on
the
website, or take an example from the docs, or something, and try
compiling that.

Not much ado. There is an experimental gnome backend that can display
the music, not for general use. There is now an installer that adds
gnome menu/desktop entries. There is no working mime type support.

Hello list,
in this example the clefs collide - LilyPond doesn't care for the

Ohhh Dear!
What am I doing wrong here? Just successfully installed Lilypond 2.5.29
(I think), and now want to convert my .ly files. Tried two things -- here
is the command line:
[1:93:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/songs/LilypondSets> convert-ly -e AgnusDeiChords.ly
bash: convert-ly: command not found
Wow!

Hi all,
A question and a comment.
What is the gnome integration for lilypond all about?
Are there docs about this, and where?
I previously sent in syntax highlighting file for
gedit/lilypond.
I am now sending a taglist file which will need to be
placed in gedits /taglist directory. This file
