Well,
I did some testing and lilypond doesn't like nesting
but it produces output in some instances.
What I get from this and the more pictures thread is
that some rules and I mean rules would help the
beginner.

Ok I am now getting both unconfused and confused.
But both paper and layout deal with layout.
I see that structure in lilypond is not a
documentation structure. ie a programmers structure.
If I were to build a document I would have formatting
for the page or the entire document and formatting

You read doc section 8.3.1 Automatic part combining.
Currently the web docs seem to be broken, but the pdf is ok. Either
read the pdf, or wait a few days for the web docs to work again

As a native Dutch speaker, I'm wondering where you got that name from

Hi all,
few days ago I asked you how to write bars evenly spaced for educational
purpose. I find a solution, you can check this in my website
www.percunivers.com/en_ligneuk.html
And as a newbie I'm happy. Lily and I hope to do a good job.
Thanks all,

it here:

Thanks for the response, even though it hasn't led anywhere.
Let's try the question a couple of other ways.
Can Scheme code be used within a \score block?
Can a variable, defined in the ly file, be reassigned a new value within the
\score block?
If the answers are no, do I have

Has all error reporting been removed from version 2.5?
I am trying to produce a book made up of many included files and
Lilypond just quits producing no output. How am I supposed to
find out what went wrong with no indication of the included files
and no error messages whatsoever in the log? Run
