I attempted to install Lilypond on Windows XP. The
Cygwin installation seemed to go fine, and I proceeded
to the instructions to test it. I downloaded test.ly
and followed the instructions.
A console was opened for a split-second, and displayed
the message
"['/bin/lily-wins.py','C:\\Docu
I was able to use 2.1.x almost right away. I guess waiting 3
subversions wasn't enough.

I recommend you browsing the manual directly. It may even
be installed on your local c
I hope you don't expect the unstable development version 2.3.3
to work correctly in all aspects, especially not when it comes to
page layout which is subject to heavy reorganization for the moment.
If I were you, I would revert back to 2.2.2 for any serious typesetting
and wait for 2.3.x to stabili

LilyPond 2.2.2 for cygwin is uploaded to the main cygwin mirror and should
be available soon.
