I solved the guile problems, and managed to build and install lily 1.6
at the uni.
Lilypond also compiles files with no problems (apart from problem with
determining size of tex-fonts. Perhaps more on that later).
Problem is that dvips and xdvi cannot find the
music-drawing-routines.ps even thoug

I'm attempting to typeset a piece which has multiple parts (SATB),
each of which have two verses of lyrics. I can't get the lyrics to
align at all with the notes, either via \addlyrics or by manually
specifying the duration of each syllable. I'm pretty new to Lilypond,
