Modifying multi-measure rests

2002-10-07 Thread Kim Shrier
Hello, I am new to LilyPond and I have a question about the best way to approach a problem. I am typesetting some music and the time signature is 4/2. I would like to modify the behaviour of multi-measure rests to use a breve rest to represent 1 measure instead of a whole rest since the dur

Hi, I can not find anywhere in the documentation how to make good-looking "da capo" texts properly. Most D.C.:s I see in Real Notes use to be placed below the staff, with its text right-aligned to the left of the last \bar (and it use to be written out in all staves, too). Like: || --

Hi, Here we go! For only a single repeat section (before or after), it works as expected. I think that the ghist is that if there are 2 volta-style repeats back-to-back, then the grace notes are placed between the end/start repeat bars, which looks a bit odd. 8<8<8<--

Lilypond will not be able to interpret the note name 'ees' unless you say \notes {...} (in fact, that's the only thing that \notes does). Try \score { \context Staff=clarpart \notes{ \transpose ees \clarinet }} /Mats > >%%part-clarinet.ly > >\include "parts.ly" > >\score { \ontext Staff=c
