Hello,
I am new to LilyPond and I have a question about the best way to
approach
a problem. I am typesetting some music and the time signature is 4/2. I
would like to modify the behaviour of multi-measure rests to use a breve

Hi,
I can not find anywhere in the documentation how to make good-looking "da
capo" texts properly. Most D.C.:s I see in Real Notes use to be placed below

Lilypond will not be able to interpret the note name 'ees' unless
you say \notes {...} (in fact, that's the only thing that \notes
does). Try
\score { \context Staff=clarpart \notes{
\transpose ees \clarinet
}}

I've tried a few variants on this theme. I get
