Thanks Graham and Mats. I got the part transposition working correctly. I've managed to tinker with page layout things to get my score neatly onto a3 paper (at least in GSVeiw) but I would like to format the parts for B4 paper. Lily doesn't seem to know about b4 paper (yet?) but there must be a way to do it.
