I'm on Kubuntu 9.10 and using Kate as an editor, with utf-8 encoding and
UNIX line endings requested ... :-) My sent emails are also formatted

As discussed on the -user list, this is a patch to start a section
in
the Specialist Notation chapter on contemporary music.
I really hope that this patch (or rather, this email containing
the
patch:-) has avoided the DOS line endings.
I think the problem was two-fold:
1) MacPorts gave me some wonky version of ghostscript, which didn't
even come with NCSB fonts.
2) The "Hei" font is from urw, and the fc-match program was matching
on 'foundry=urw'.
I'd be happy to have a go at more documentation stuff. It'll probably
broaden my
