I mean: error with libpthread.so.0 on "make" command. no error with
libpthread.so.0 on "make test" command, and error with libpthread.so.0 on "make
install" command
1. so was my check-0.9.9.tar.gz package installed correctly?
2. what is libpthread.so.0 ??

Adding the --with-sysroot to the end of the configure line in
Binutils-2.23.1 - Pass 2 then rebuilding solved the problem
in check-0.9.9.
Before asking here I had checked the errata page but there was
nothing there. After your reply I checked again and now there
is an entry.
