I was using the LFS livecd (Version x86-6.3-r2160) for my build. The
binutils build went well.
The gcc build (with the command 'make bootstrap') however, failed with

Out of curiosity - I am building from the 6.3 LiveCD but following the 6.8 book
with the proper sources downloaded, etc. Is this not recommended? I can easily
burn a knoppix cd if that would be a better option.
