What if gcc-5 is released tomorrow and LFS upgrades to it but BLFS
says - "We are a different project and no one on blfs-dev wants to
upgrade to the new release so BLFS will just stick with gcc-4." The
situation you are mentioning is quite similar.

anyways), there is no extra space and memory being taken up. The
various language man-pages and various locales are already being
installed, the disk space is already taken up. Just check out the
/usr/share/locale and /usr/share/man dire
gh, I had assumed that the editors would have tested it out before
putting it in the book. But as Jermey said, he thought all that had
already been done.
