Hi
I so agree with everything that you say [apart from Blair who I have
no opinion about but I would swap him for our bunch of tossers about
whom I have very strong opinions]
How about?
Wood
Dunne Haire
Gibson
My picks would have to be Bremner, Charles, Clarke, Grey, Giles, Harvey,
Reeney, Sprake, Lorimer and everyone else you want to add.

And the rumour is £4000 of them per game - which is probably around our average weekly wage if you take messrs Kelly & Bakke out of the equation.Freeing it up for a loanee perhaps?

Bakke has been given the boot but it doesn't free up his wages unless we can
off load him to another team who will take on his wages. So we are no
Well looks like Bakke has been given the boot as we couldn't afford to keep
paying his Premiership wages.
Half of me feels sorry for him, he has been troubled a lot with injuries. I
hope that he can get his game together and find another good club to play
for hopefully at a higher level. I hop

What about players who have kept our spirits up when times were hard ? Sheridan, Currie, Snodin(both of them), Sellars (first time), Baird, Worthington, Hilaire, Davison and unsung heroes like Haddock, Ormsby etc Of course all the Reive team and Wilkos promotion players - especailly Chapm

Absolutely. How you forget when you start compiling these lists!.
If you include Reaney then Terry Cooper ought to be in as

Far stronger grounds for him being there than Cantona - a peripheral player
in the title winning team, then off the next season.
I'd say strong grounds for Fairclough myself. Along with Strachan he was
pivotal in his arrival in signalling the new ambition and rise of Leeds in
the late 80s and his

Why? Can't say that he should be on such an esteemed list. More image than
substance and only had a brief spell with us at the top flight before being
the "best" player on a premiership team that was relegated.
That doesn't warrant being on the same list as the others you had.

The wife finally nagged me into moving my pile of LLL mags into the loft at
the weekend. Whilst doing this, I chanced upon the list of the 100 favourite
players issues from late 2002. Perusing said list, I was amazed at some of
the players' positions - Kewell at 8?, Bowyer 15, Ferdinand 20, Fowl
I have said this before and I still haven't heard one way or the other if
there is any truth to it or not, but I suspect that footballers are not
allowed (by the PFA) to waive any part of their contract with clubs. All
they are allowed to do is cancel a contract by mutual consent.

Bakke can't have it both ways. Yes, it's not his fault he's on silly
money, but he has the choice - he can take the money and not play, or he
can reduce it and play - quite simple really. In any other business, if
the company could no longer afford you, you'd get made redundant. He's

There is an official club statement on LUFC site - whoever said it was his appearance money that is the problem with him playing is correct. Due to the amount we have to pay we can no longer afford to play him ( I suppose he could in theory waive that amount if no-one comes in for him ??) Obvio
No wonder he has not been up to his usual standards - he is carrying a groin injury and is off to see a top specialist in Germany to see if he needs an op , or if we \ he can wait till next international window (when hopefully Nicholls will be fit ?) As for Sheff Wed game - only 2nd live match

Don't think he has been told not to train anywhere, as he is currently back in

for Leeds"...) training with his former
