Hello, In general I don't mind auto-allocation - it's somehow best for (PC) distributions. I'm not sure if the same applies to embedded systems and OSes like LEDE - at least with static backing up of passwd/shadow files. Wouldnt't a user (developer) expect to backup the settings and restore
