I have similar issues on a ThinkPad W550s laptop with a 2880x1620
display, running OpenSuse (13.2). Here I currently have the font DPI
setting at 204.
But no problems at all on my desktop system with 1920x1080 displays.
(DPI setting is default of 96).

And Lazarus doesn't look good.
All bitmaps are tiny. Some lazarus forms are to small so you have to
resize them first. The component bar is not high enough so you almost

These days that's not such a high resolution, so in itself that should
not cause a problem. I run at double that resolution without problems.

I have recently upgraded my linux machine to a laptop with high screen
resolution (1920 x 1080) that for most programs is beautiful.
Unfortunately, parts of the Lazarus IDE do not respect the screen
resolution (in at least one case only in the vertical direction!).
