I'm using the package [xspace]ellipsis in my latex document. Is there
an equiv. for latex2html. Using \dots works great in the latex
version, but in the html I lose the trailing spaces.

Bad form to answer my own question, but I found the problem. My disto
didn't have /usr/share/X11/rgb.txt ... copied it from another location
and all is well.

Oh, minor bug ... if one tries to make the html docs for latex2html the
makefile will NOT create the needed 'manual' directory. Creating it by
hand before invoking "make html" solves the problem.

Thanks for the pointers, Ross. I finally got it somewhat figured out :)
The program pnmtopng from netpbn.10.29 was dumping core. I have no idea
why, but I grabbed 10.30, compiled and installed and all is now well.
