you can never erase the system prompts, but you can record "over" them.
and you can turn them on and off.
for some reason, "erase" is not a choice the first time thru, but
second time thru, the third choice is "erase", which reverts back to the
original system prompt.

My apologies. I've even forgetten how to properly ask a question. The
system is a KX-TD1232-4 with a TVS200 VPS.
