you can never erase the system prompts, but you can record "over" them. 
and you can turn them on and off.

for some reason, "erase" is not a choice the first time thru,  but 
second time thru, the third choice is "erase", which reverts back to the 
original system prompt.

sometimes is was easier to record three second blurbs, then you could 
use erase to restore to the system prompt.

also, don't forget to take the laptop back to the "select terminal" 
command, otherwise box 998 likes to tell you "function not available"
