You can get a type 1 case in aluminum, weighs a little more than the
magnesium original, and if you add a PSRU can as much HP as the type 4
and Corvair.
So how come you don't see one on a KR?

Why not just use the type 4.

Doesn't horespower share a close relationship to weight? It seems like some
people are willing to spend so much money on horsepower to increase speed that
engines are pushed to limits
that could compromise safety.
Wouldn't Time and money be better well spent trying to minimize weight in

I have a Subaru EJ22 150hp. It cruise at 160mph and I
topped out at the flyin at 235mph. It is heavy,but
with all that power it really doesn't matter. I am not
sure how heavy the engine is because
