I've been watching all of the posts about venturis or IFR and I would like
to offer a broader perspective to consider. In looking at a single engine
IFR airplane there are typically four power sources that operate in addition
to the basic engine:

It seems that the new KRnet has a mind of it's own when it comes to
formatting messages. Text messages are reformatted to have a maximum line
length of 76 characters. This forced the last character of the link I
posted to my instrument panel to be placed on the following line. Before

WOW. I don't know what else to say. How did you say that you are driving
all those gyros? That is some panel. I don't think I have ever seen one so
full of gyros, in a KR.

Well another senior moment, I stated the horizon and dg were 400VAC. In
truth, they are 400 cycle 120VAC units powered through an inverter from
12VDC. The turn and bank is powered directly from 12VDC.

I've decided that ultimate light weight is not as important as the total
package for my KR. I must agree with you that there have been many KRs
built light that fly very well. The final test will when we get flying
