Just remember if you desire to make a long run of the pushtube as I did, you
have to increase the diameter of the tube relative to the length. In other
words the longer the bigger. I believe Dana in his RV has one that is thin
wall 1 1/2" T6 aluminum, to go a distance of some 6-7' . M

I have also been working on my elevator control system using push pull
tubes. The tube I have installed was given to me by Gene Byrd and was used
in his KR-2S prior to his crash. He had a bend in his tube which I
eliminated when I cut the tube down to fit my KR-2. The tube is aluminum
7/8 OD.
Gang, along the lines of what Jack just posted I provided Colin with a
materinal list for an elevator pushtube offline. If anyone is interested, I
told Colin it would be OK to forward it to the KRNet. I gave him part
numbers and prices.

And anyone else that posts; first thank you for all the help thus far. I truly
believe that you all have saved me from a catastrophic failure of the elevator
control. I do not want to sound stubborn, but there are a couple of reasons I
have not abandoned the present tube.
