I have an 1835 VW engine mounted on the firewall. The exhaust pipes are touching the bottom of the fuselage. I know that is not acceptable. How much clearance do I need? Ray Goree

I'm using a Great Plains four-into-two exhaust system. I want to be able to disassemble it sometime in the future, so I don't want to join the pipes using standard pipe clamps. How can I seal the junctions so that I don't have carbon monoxide getting into my heat muffs, yet be able to take the
