I looked on Amazon and found the same rig for $10 less, with all of the color

Well I have received my seatbelts and now I am again scratching my head
trying to get started on installing them.
Yeah I know where they should go but--- how to do it ?
I've done a lot of searching on the archives and viewed lots of pictures
of everything but seat belt attachments.
If anyone has p

I received and installed another set of pilot side seat belts in the
KR. These are much more to my liking and I'll give them a thumbs up.

The replacement set of JEGS seat belts arrived today to replace the
pilot side belts in the KR that no longer fit around my fat a**. WOW!!
Are those things HEAVY. I may have to eliminate my left wing 12.5
gallon fuel tank to compensate for the weight. 🙁
These thing are definitely stronger
It is both correct and truthful to state that the harness/belts are for an

This set caught my eye, both for price, the all black metal, and all the
five star reviews. I'm guessing these belts are as capable as the
structure they will be attached to. A look at the fittings would
indicate a simple remove and replace install. I seem to recall "made

My lap belt portion of my 4 way seat belt harness has been a bit snug

This is how I did it. On my first KR, I attached the shoulder straps to
cables running back to the tail wheel. I then heard of someone almost
getting strangled with them in an accident where the tail was sheared off,
so came up with this solution. In the incident after the 2013 Gathering,

One way to anchor the shoulder belts (a retrofit if you can't get any
further back) is shown at http://www.n56ml.com/n891jf/harness/ ,
although N56ML's were cables wrapped around the two vertic

Hi Everyone,
I'm not sure where I seen the pictures of two cables from the aft of the
fuselage for the seat belts. If anyone has the link for that setup, please send
it.

NetHeads,
There has been a lot of talk about seat belt brackets, bolt diameters, etc

been forced to think about attachment in order to come up with the proper
belt lengths. The thing that concerns me most is the strength of

If you hit something hard enough to tear the belt mounts out then you'll
probably be nursing a very hot engine and have much shorter legs :-)

Yes, we neglected those entirely, assuming that fuselage structure would
take care of that, like you say. We were concentrating on

And what do the plans say? I looked for seat belts last night and didn't
see it anywhere. I thought I'd seen someplace to just run a 3/16 bolt

Unfortunately, with seat belts, we bui
under the spar to spread the load the width of the spar
and not allow the impact force to focus in a small point. I don't plan on
doing that though.

Like you I did not like the back rest belt area, so I used 10mm A/C ply for
the shelf, on two 3/4"spruce cross members, then on the double longerons,
where the 10mm ply is glued with T88. I put a 10mm ply webbing under those
longerons which tied them all together
I then placed 5/8"spruce from
Has anyone installed a 5 point belt system where the stick is between the legs
and a control tube under the seat.? (The aircraft control stick). I have a 5
