Uhhh, make that "deer" whistles. But, it's probably best if you don't
attract any "dears" either.

Don't forget to install the "dear whistles" before you take it to the

Hi all,
I am almost ready to start my Corvair engine
for the first time. Does anyone have a prop for sale that is in the 54x54
range. Or does anyone have a prop SAE 1 that I could borrow to do the static
test runs?
Thank guys,

I need to have my Sterba 62 X 68 prop on my M1 pitched a little lower. I
know that Ed can get pretty busy and I expect it to be two weeks before I
get it back. Since I fly 5 to 10 hours a week and have trips for work that
pop up at a drop of a hat it is a pretty big deal for me to have my plane

Check with mark Jones, I believe he has a 3 blade warp drive in the prop
bank. Not sure what diameter it is but it would be worth asking.

What sort of a hub does this prop have? Would it fit a SAE 1 hub?
Thanks

Fixer:
It rotates clockwise from the cockpit. So a standard SAE 1 prop, 58
inches diameter would be very nice with big blades and about 65-68 inches of
pitch. What do you think?

Jim,
Try www.warpdrive.com (I think is the website or you can google warp drive
props)
The thing that I like about a Warp Drive is the ability to adjust the pitch.
Which allows you to optimise the pitch settings for your particular engine /
aircraft combination. To do that with a wooden prop is
I have an Ed Sterba on mine Jim, and the harmonics are great, as you know
I have a continental 85, and spin a 60x60 , presently getting 2650 which
is pretty much bang on for the rated RPM Max for that engine which is 2585
It doesn't answer your question however for your Soob engine.

Thanks for the response just the same, this may be one of the thoughts I
will just go ahead and contact some of the better makers for their imput.
