Well, things are taking longer than expected (isn't that always the case?)
but they are progressing. I've created a few pages to house the new
database, and have completed a working example of the "Add a new plane"

This isn't a problem. I'll be adding a login screen. Once logged in, the
database will know who you are, and give you your data. Pretty simple, really.
