You mentioned a weak spark. That may very well be the problem. You should see
a bright blue spark.

The mag clicks a TDC. The #1 plug was removed and there is a spark, weak but a
spark.
A long shot here Lee, but worth mentioning - make sure that you are the correct
TDC. Remember that this is a 4 cycle engine and thus has two TDC's on each
pot. Check that both valves are closed on the TDC

It Can only ? be spark or fuel, Check Compression, and Compression stroke,
No 1 and timing BEFORE TDC.
Even if Carby is crook, it should FIRE with fuel in the plug holes.it the
above is wright.
