Well, it's a tricycle gear KR2 with a motor. I'll remove the motor, but can I
use the mounting points on the firewall for tie-downs? Will I have to support
the tail if I remove the engine?

I have also seen airplanes trailered tail first and wondered why. I trailered
mine nose first and had the controls blocked with no trouble. See

Last year I bought a KR in Columbus, Ohio. To trail it home to Houston, I
converted my boat trailer to a flat bed. The 2 wheel trailer was designed for
a 25ft MacGregor. I removed the bunkboards and cut 5/8 inch 4x8 plywood sheets
to fit the trailer frame, using U bolts to secure them
