That's nuts! Did they give any justification or explanation
as to how they arrived at that value? Is it legal to sell
your airplane to yourself (or say, to your own corporation)?
That way I assume it would be taxed at the actual selling
price.

It is definitely not a showplane. The woman at the county advised it will
take at least 90 days for them to re-evaluate the value and, that if I do
not pay the bill before the end of August they will file a lien which will
affect my credit. She said if they choose to change the value on the plane
