Your method scares me.
"Pump the throttle TWO times leaving it in almost full throttle"
Starting at full throttle will shorten the life of you engine. When starting
there is minimal oil on the bearing surfaces and no oil pressure. Starting at
full throttle will give high RPM and high

I hope on the day that you have to prop start it by hand while alone you
remember to close the throttle or it'll be off on it's own across the
field!!!
