Adam, I have done it both ways, scratch built and finished someone else's
project. I suggest you build your own boat. That way you can have the width,
and length most comfortable for you. I have not done a KR2S but have added
almost 2 feet of length on to a KR2 boat...widening it by 4" as wel

In my opinion, the boat is very quick to build compared to the rest of the
plane. If I were you, I would build my own boat that is exactly what YOU
want it to be unless you can find a boat that is exactly what you had in
mind as the perfect KR fuselage.
