Hi Guys , just wanted to give an update on the painting of my KR.
I decided to go with the white , and used a very good polyurathane enamal,
with a HVPL gun. This time no runs or saggs, and very little difficulty
geting it to look decent.
I regret not being able to get the silver to look good but

Thanks Peter,
After sleeping on it I still don't feel much better about it, but I still
think I should go with the white. The guy from poly fiber
Atlanta is still trying to
locate all the parts, I am very disgusted with them at this point.

Well Guys , I am very depressed with what happened today. It was about one
week ago that I shot the finel coats of paint on my KR fusalage, and today I
decided to finish the wing outer panels . I pulled the fusalage out in to
the yard to clear the shop for the wings , in to 85 deg. direct sunlight.
Hey there Tim.
Don't loose heart.
I remember making some horrible mess ups when I started painting cars and
bikes back in the late '80s. One job I totally stuffed up in '96 even after
a lot of practice was a tank on one of my bikes. That was layering clear red
tinter over flat white to get a deep
h.
It will take about three days to get the new paint from aircraft spruce, and
for my next weekend off to paint it.
God I hate waisting money and time.
Thanks
Tim

Well guys, in between rain storms and overtime at work, I am finaly ready to
shoot the top coats on my bird.I am still using Stits Navada silver.
Now before I get flooded with e-mail, I did a test for radio interference.
Now I know that this is not a very accurate way to test it but I sprayed two
Tim,
My plan is to put the Poly Fiber Smooth Prime and paint on with a fine nap
roller. A Pulsar builder in my chapter used this method with beautiful
results. Bought the roller and pan at Lowes (about $6).
Poly Fiber says there is no RF attenuation through any of their paint products

Hi Tim.
Good luck with your painting.
As for camping with your plane at Oshkosh... you can bet that LOT's of
guys do it. I even heard yesterday that a new campground has been
created (with showers) for area 51. This is the area to to NW of the
main show area and south of the warbirds. This area i
