That sounds like I am better off paying some one to weld at a local shop then. I read this article in SA about how this guy soldered his cable connections together with lead/tin solder like they did in the old days, and started looking into the possibility of using flux and silver solder to braze

Fred, after reading Kent's site that I sent you, sounds like brazing aluminum is not reliable according to Kent. Sounds easy enough if one follows the directions and might require the correct flux. I know, nothing is as easy as it sounds but if you have ever watched Kent weld, it sure looks vari
