You really do not want to over insure. I will give an example. My neighbor
built an RV7 and insured it for $126000. after her 6 attempt at landing WITH
the wind she flipped it over on its back. She told the insurance company she
did not want

I believe that I pay just above $400 for liabililty insurance with 740
something hours of flight and approximately 35 hours in tail wheel (Cub).

I am purchasing a KR2S and contacted aopa. With hull insurance it was a
little over $2,000 but with just liability it was under $1000. I have no
tailwheel time yet but I do have just over 1800 total.
