Keep shopping around. I have insured mine with 3 different underwriters over the years, for $17000 hull value, and paid between $900 & $1400 a year total for hull and liability. My insurance agent told me once I hit 100 hours in it the rates would go down substantially, but I tore the motor down a few years ago before reaching the 100 hour markers, so I don't know yet how much of a break I will get.I hope to find out this spring.
