[quote] I will say that 1200+584=1784 which is pretty close to 1850 so that
may be the answer that ties it all together especially if the "several
tach/hour meters" were Tiny Tachs!
Hi Mark;
Well then I'm confusing it with Dan Diehl's statement and adding it twice
then but that's still 1.46 yea

[quote] Sorry Dan but this doesn't compute. If it had 1850 total time on
the airframe at the last annual (which was in the last few months if I
remember correctly)how to you figure adding the 1200 hours that it had on it
when
Dan sold it to Gene to get a new total time? Unless Gene put a new air

Hi Guys and Girls;
I dug out the log books of O'l Blue (N4DD), there are several of them.
They are sometimes difficult to read so I transcribed them into a computer
file.
Bob Glidden and I settled on about 1850 hours total time on the airframe at
the last annual. It has had several engines

I guessed that would the the highest time KR. Do you see any obvious
structural stresses (from time and hours flown over the years) Dan?
Off the top of my head, I can think that wood rot (such as can affect the
Bellanca wing) would be somethi
Yes, Steve's original KR-1 had about 1500 hours on it before he sold it. It
went through at least three owners after that. The first owner (me) put
about 50 hours on it, the second owner (Indiana) didn't fly it, and then the
3rd one (around 1991) was doing some fast taxiing with full aft stick
I just remembered Steve Bennett had put about 1500 hours by the time he
sold it. That one, if it hadn't been crashed by the new owner, might
have been the high timer?
