Netheads,
There was a question asked a few weeks ago but I have not seen a reply.
What is the max height of the top of the canopy or top of turtle deck without
interfering with the airflow over the tail feathers
What has been used as the datum, (botom of the fuselage) or (top of rear spar).

That should give you enough height to build the KR. You
will need to take the project outside to turn it upside down

Hi,
I visited a pal of mine yesterday who is building an RV, and I couldn't
help but notice how "tall" the plane was. Is there any reason (apart from
the reduced drag which short gear possesses, and the fact that the standard
gear just happens to be very short) why the KR has such short gear?

landing distance (more flaire ability)

The undercarriage height is influenced by a few
things, but the two issues in this case:
The Original KR1 and 2 had a low tech, low cost, very
simple retract system that was almost great. Many
KR's are still flying with these folding
legs(taildragger).
The simplicity of the design dictat
