The deer picture was so badly out of focus that you could barely tell there
was some brown stuff on the runway (it happened to fast I didn't have time
to look through the viewfinder

Looking at the photo again I can see the VSI was at 1000 fpm,
not 2000 fpm. I didn't think we were diving all that steeply. I
