Flying my KR-2 t/d and the crosswind landings are very exciting to say the least. I purchased the plane used and the gear is very narrow. The gear is bolted to the mainspar on the inside of the fuse right under your legs and is probably nearly 4.8 ft wide in track. What effect would the plane

I can tell you that the Diehl gear is about 7 ft. wide, but I can't tell you how landings with it compare to the Grove. However, I don't think the Grove, even though it bolts to the main spar inside the fuselage, is as narrow as yours. See N64KR at http://KRBuilder.org - Then click on the pics
