It is sad, and I sympathize. I lost my father when he
was only 52. Be glad for the time you had with yours
and the shared memories.

Netters,
It is with a Sad and Heavy heart that I inform you
that my father passed away recently after a long hard
battle with heart disease.
Dad loved flying, and was looking forward to going
up with me when I completed my KR. Because of his
health, he was "confined" to flying large scale Radio
May he rest in peace

He must have been a tremendous source of inspiration for your interest in
aviation. May he rest in peace.
Sorry to hear of your Dads transition. Dads are very close with their sons.
My Dad passed in 1972 @ 62 and I am 63, so I feel blessed.

I lost my Dad about 2 months ago to the same. Long hard battle with a bad
valve. He almost died about 12 years ago on the table getting a bypass.
Didn't want to do it again.
Though my dad did not fly, in fact the opposite, he shot down a Zero in
WWII. He was a gunner on a merchant ship, and
Dear Scott,
I am sorry to hear about your father. May you feel the warmth of his spirit
with you and in you when you do get your KR flying.
