How should the sender be mounted, I will be running MarkJ wing tanks. Should
it be on top of the tank and bent to the back or on the front of the tank
pointed to the back or on the side and bent to the back?
Just looking for insight

Sometimes the answer can only be derived from the limitations placed on the
sender probe. Mine said it could only be bent at certain locations and not
at others. I would make a mock probe out of tubing or wire and trial fit it

Just my .02 worth. I did not use capacitance sender. I used the float and
was able to mount it on one of the baffle dividers in the tank. With the
float I was able to hook it up and calibrate it to the fuel gage before
the tanks were closed up. The down side is if the float ball develops a

If you can come in from the end of the wing or stub where they bolt together
and put it in the side, you will always have access to it. They make them
bendable, so you can come in from the side, go a little up and then down. I
just put in a Princeton and it was a piece of cake to calibrate. The
