in your message you state:
"The problem I am having is the darn thing will not slow down for landing.
At 100 mph and about 1100 rpm this KR will not decend. It is taking about
3500 feet to land"

The Kr will accellerate very quickly with no power added in a shallow dive.
Speeds @ 200 are easy to achieve. That is why the KR pattern will be bigger
or shallower if you dont have a good speed brake or flaps. A heavy Corvair
KR and a light VW KR will have very similar numbers as far a to

Are they interconnected with the flabs are they set up to work independent of

Usually you will have either a belly board OR flaps, not both. I have never
seen one with both.

KRNetters -
After some modifications to the baffeling a 5th flight was made today in 880AB.
Everything went well. The changes made were effective and everything stayed
within parameters. At 2600 rpm indicated airspeed was 140 mph. At 2808 rpm
airspeed was 150 mph. Everything looked so good that
In the next week or so I'll post some info on my belly board.
But in the meen time, side slipping is so much fun that it's a wonder
its still legal. Nothing like side slipping the whole final, right down to
the round out and then some, really gets the onlookers talking, especially
when you do
Maybe you should get your RPM;s down at idle, Virg

I however do not recomend "sliping turns" to loose altitude for low time
pilots.

The first is LANDING

I agree about sliping. But nothing slips like a Cub. You ought to see a B-52
slip to landing.
