Oscar,
I concur with your “certified” spec numbers and anyone exceeding those numbers,
“experimentally”, is doing so at his or her own risk. BTW, max RPM for the A80
is 2700 and the A50 is 1900. This is quite a spread for the same basic engine
(except for the drilled rod caps). I did speak t

Now that's pushing the ol' A65, alright! Standard spec for redline on the A65
is 2300 RPM. The A75, which has holes drilled in the rod caps to provide
additional lubrication but with the same bore, stroke,
I have a 160 cm 3 bladed in flight adjusteble prop (woodcomp) with a BMW
R1200GS 110hp engine.
For the speed I have at this moment no record(testing fase), but the climb is
1500 ft 2 pers and 2000+ft alone.

The Porkopolis Flying Pig was powered by a (somewhat tired) Continental A65
with a Warp Drive, 58” tapered blade prop, set at about 20 degrees, if I recall
and max engine rpm of 2540. I kept tweaking the angle about .5 degrees at a
time until I got the best top speed which was about 137 kts.
I have a 3 blade Warp Drive 52x54 on my KR2S... very smooth. Use a 2700
Corvair engine, see chart on KR site for other information... Bob Sauer
