I am pretty certain George McHenry had a 3 blade warp drive prop on his KR. He
had a hopped up O-235-L2C that he claimed was making 140 HP. He later removed
that engine prop combination and had installed a 160 HP O-320. He was
experimenting with both 3 and 4 blade Warp Drive props for the O-320 as well as
some other prop combinations, but crashed and was lost on the second flight
with the O-320 while attempting to land due to an unknown in flight emergency
during the flight. He was very proud of having built the O-320 installation 2#
lighter than the previous O-235 Installation in his KR. I can say the
performance with the O-235 was quite startling. I missed his call to tell me
about flying with the O-320, and when I returned his call the next day, he was
no more.
