Mainly, I do not understand how the spar is bent and what effect doing this
will have on using the new airfoil rib templates.

Mark Langford speaks of using a bent spar in the stub wings where you bend
your spars by laminating quarter inch strips together just outside the
fuselage. This sets the wing dihedral at the wing stubs and allows fuel in
stub-mounted tanks to sump inboard.
I am going to use the AS504x airfoil
