KR>Weather for Gathering trip (Was: Protocol)

2008-10-12 Thread ron...@pcisys.net
One day out and the weather looks good in Colorado and Red Oak for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I still question the forecast even one day out but hopefully it will be clear blue skies and cool weather. Ron Lee - This message was sent using Endymion

KR>Weather today in Red Oak

2008-10-12 Thread ron...@pcisys.net
I called the Red Oak airport moments ago and it is raining there today. Reportedly about five folks in the hanger (supposedly KR folks). That area is also corn country so I may get some great sweet corn. Is this an OK topic for Thursday? Ron Lee - Th

KR>Stuck in Trenton

2008-10-12 Thread ron...@pcisys.net
I expect wheels up at 0900 MDT. Three hour flight plus one hour time zone change equals 1300 arrival at Red Oak (Pad to 1330). We should be arriving about the same time. I hear the gas prices there are cheaper than my home airport. Ron Lee > I'm stuck in Trenton, MO right now with winds gust

Thanks for the info on transponders. I got good news today that my transponder has been fixed and I asked them to "next day" UPS it to me. Should install Wednesday and be able to fly at 11,500' 13,500' or 15,500' as I choose! I did a seated "happy dance" when I got the news. As much as I have

KR>weather reports

2008-10-12 Thread ron...@pcisys.net
Here in Colorado I don't put much faith in weather reports. Saturday night the forecast (TAF) was great for Sunday but 12 hours later it was yucky. Several days out I call it sheer guesswork. Ron Lee - This message was sent using Endymion MailMan. htt
