I use both decalin and mmo in my experimental o200, my plugs and heads have
been significantly cleaner when I was running those with 100LL than
without, however i run exclusively ethanol free gas now that I jug in from
the station on the way to the airport.

Only modifications I've made to the fuel system of 211lf have been a fuel
flow transducer/totalizer post gascolator and cleaning the finger
screens/replacing the one in the carburetor. Works like a charm otherwise.

I'm sure you're the first to do it, but not the only to think about it! I
want to know all about how it flies once you get everything finalized.

Tip tanks! How much fuel do you have in them? Do you have fuel in the wings
or just the tips? I always thought they'd look cool on a kr2!

Howdy all,
I made it home this morning after a slightly shortened gathering for myself
to be able to run up north and raid my supply chest of airplane parts. For
those of you in attendance you would be familiar that I had just replaced a
cylinder only a few hours prior for a bad exhaust leak that
How long are your wings phil? 211LF usually won't see more than 2500-2550
until I get past ~150mph with the 60x68 sterba on the front.

Saw that one on Facebook last night, guess it didn't take long to sell. I'd
reccomend taking a look through the archives for most of your kr quick
questions regarding handling mods and user experiences.

The sterba 60x68(64?) Prop with the O-200 that 211lf is running after being
revarnished with an overhauled engine is about 2500rpm static WOT. Looking
at about 2400rpm in a climb at 120indicated and ~800fpm climb full tanks
solo, 2750 at 184 indicated WOT in level flight at 4000 feet. I havnt

Couldn't help you for Texas but if anyone is coming to the southern
Illinois area with their kr, I'm more than happy to tuck it into the hangar
with mine and give you a place to shower

For me it's all freehand, I keep my iPad open to keep track of my
breadcrumbs and I come up with an idea ahead of time. If I plan on
skywriting with breadcrumbs, I write it out large in cursive ahead of time
on my scratchpad to plan my turns. The KR is thankfully a very maneuverable

Does anyone know if there is any details that Robert had made about the
aluminum plenums for his O-200? They seem like they'd be very effective.
The workmanship is beautiful.

A repairman course to issue a certificate would be a very welcome addition

Let me know how that av30 ends up working out for you, I was looking at
putting one in my KR, I looked into the Ilevil3 aw for a phone based efis
display as well- though an upgraded radio is probably the front of my
concerns as I need longer range with the long stretches I've been doing.

Phil do you have any left over plans from your engine mount extension? I'm
considering doing that as a winter project.

Hi dee, alot of what I've heard and seen was people do wing tanks into a
header- and then use the gravity feed from the header to provide a short
reserve in case of pump failure. My KR was built without a header tank- so
if all pumps fail I'm in for a ride
