Good thoughts guys! In this accident it took two to make it happen. This is
always, maybe almost always, the case then moving vehicles hit other moving
vehicles . It would of only taken one to prevent this accident and others like

Hey Dave, Sounds like a nicopress fitting. It's an aircraft fitting that
requires a special tool, metal sleeve, and teardrop. Any home builder in your
area could lend you the tool and probably has a few extra parts to go with it.
You'll need to know the wire diameter. Russ

I built mine like a pitot tube on the opposite wing. Vent tube faces air flow
about 6" below wing. Al tubing is flared and a screen is epoxied over opening.
It's never flown but my hope is the flare in the tube will add some pressure to
the tank to inprove fuel flow.
