KR> Final word on fuel tank resins.

2008-10-12 Thread Marty Hammersmith
Vinyl Ester is the rin used in commercial service station tanks. SOME epoxies will work fine with a given fuel some will not. Vinyl Ester is the correct resin to use for a fueltank. I would add that you should try to avoid using fuel with alcohol and why do yuo care if diesel is compatible with epo

I agree. I'm actually the one that bid it up to $150. I think the ad is a carefully worded deception personally and decided that as a core it wasn't worth more. He is emphatic about "as is, no warranty" and specifically states the faceplate is in excellent condition. If I were a betting man I'd say

KR>Can you plans build a 2S?

2008-10-12 Thread Marty Hammersmith
It seems to me the guys building the KR-2S tend to be building from a kit? Is it reasonable, not just possible to build a stretched KR from the plans? I like the stock KR-2 but would want a longer tail moment. Marty Hammersmith

2008-10-12 Thread Marty Hammersmith
Hi Dan, That was actually what I was getting at. Are the 2S suppliment plans enough to build the 2S or are they assuming that you will be using premade parts? Composite wise ZI can build anything so I'm looking to plans build the 2S using the KR2 plus 2S suppliment. I wasn't sure the detail necess
